As of this morning at 10:29 am this morning California Supreme Court has legalized gay marriage. Saying that marriage is the right of all people no matter their sexual preference. Finally a long time fight for our right to marry has come to an end. Today is a day for celebration and rejoice not only for the gay community but our supporters as well. The Governor has stated that he will uphold the supreme courts ruling about legalizing gay marriage.

Re: California Supreme Court Legalizes gay Marriage, Governor upholds surpeme court decision
Thu, May 15, 2008 - 11:36 PMBought time.. I was starting to get all embarrassed that I lived in such a great state, but we hadn't legalized gay marriage yet. Now I'm hoping for the 420 legalization...
Really though, why is the government involved in private social matters? I don't think the state should be paying that much attention to anyones marriage. Govern the state, not sociocultural traditions.

Fri, May 16, 2008 - 5:45 AMHere's an online petition to show support for the bill and to pledge to vote against a Constitutional amendment that would overturn that bill and make same-sex marriage unconstitutional. Add your name if you feel moved. I added mine. :)

Re: California Supreme Court Legalizes gay Marriage, Governor upholds surpeme court decision
Fri, May 16, 2008 - 9:05 AMI have a REAL problem with people who believe that gay marriage should be banned for religious reasons, but hide behind an economic agenda. Actually, I have a real problem with the whole issue - religious AND economic.
If you don't want gay marriage - don't have one. My mother and I have agreed to disagree on this issue. She believes that she can be married 4 times and still call marriage 'sacred' because she's chosen (poorly most of the time, by the way) people with penises.
I'm just glad that when Natascha and Paulie get married, they get to get MARRIED! -

Re: California Supreme Court Legalizes gay Marriage, Governor upholds surpeme court decision
Sat, May 17, 2008 - 12:40 PMYeah for all of you out there in California. I know that my brother got married in San Fran when they started that a few years ago now? (seems so long ago) Hopefully it will stick and the rest of the country will start to follow suit. I don't understand why it's anyone's business who marries whom.... that is a personal decision and nothing else.
